It has been a while since I have posted. Work in the past couple of months has been more hectic than ever. And it had come to a point where I badly needed a break.

The two-day trip to Goa for the AAAI awards was a welcome respite. The trip itself was rather hectic. But what the hell! You don’t mind not getting enough sleep in Goa because you’re staying up - drinking, eating, drinking, lazing on the beach, drinking, riding around, drinking, dancing, drinking…....

I, for some strange reason, refrained from over-doing the drinking bit. I drank Coke while the others drank beer. And when we went for lunch to Martins, everyone continued getting drunk on beer while I chose to sip on a cocktail. Big mistake! The cocktail was called ‘Sex on the sunset beach’. Yeah. You can imagine the comments I invited from my bunch of drunken colleagues. There was especially one colleague R (also a good pal) who was the loudest and cheesiest with his comments. His newly-wed wife had accompanied him to the trip and after all he had to show off his coolness-quotient.

Sigh! So it went on and one till someone commented (almost sadly), “At least someone gets to have sex in Goa!” When R suddenly started abusing him, “Bastard, $#@$#…… $#@$#&& !!!...” It was an entertaining minute of R blushing and abusing, till he realised that the statement wasn’t intended for him and his wife in the first place.

He he! Goa was fun!

Still a little bit of your taste in my mouth
Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt
Still a little hard to say what's going on

Still a little bit of your ghost, your witness
Still a little bit of your face I haven't kissed
You step a little closer each day
That I can’t say what's going on

Still a little bit of your song in my ear
Still a little bit of your words I long to hear
You step a little closer to me
So close that I can't see what's going on...
